Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a part of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. Your role will involve working closely with the ALDI team to provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills.
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and store operations to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash policies, minimize losses, and follow company procedures.
- Perform general cleaning duties and maintain store standards.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
- Capable of operating a cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Skilled in managing and operating store equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
- Meet all state and local requirements related to alcohol sales.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is a plus.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
