Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining the store's operations and ensuring a great shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain displays
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and participate in store inventory counts
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
  • Comply with company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Efficient and accurate cash register operation
  • Safe operation of equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail work experience is a plus
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
