Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, this Account Manager position is primarily responsible for managing the sales activities within the specified business segment to increase sales and implement strategic corporate directives.
Responsibilities
- Identify and build relationships with targeted accounts.
- Develop strategies and direct sales activities towards selected target accounts.
- Create and deliver customized product presentations.
- Direct selling strategy on key opportunities.
- Provide support to customers throughout the build-out process.
- Monitor production of products and identify growth opportunities.
- Meet established sales goals within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement a strategic account plan to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Manage aspects of the account and position HRS as a key supplier.
- Ensure sales pipeline growth and project conversions.
- Develop a Global Account strategy where applicable.
- Lead and work closely with a customer focus team.
- Mentor, train, and provide direction to new Account Managers.
- Establish executive-level customer relationships.
- Guide Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to identify new opportunities.
- Sell the value propositions of HRS's products.
- Interact with HRS Senior Management and other key personnel.
Requirements
- BS/A degree in Business or Technical field.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- 5+ years sales experience in the electronic component industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and presentation skills.
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to negotiate the territory, which may require long-distance travel.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Compensation
$90,000 - $110,000 yearly salary.
