Diesel Mechanic - Hopkinton Area Schools

Job Description

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team and provide reliable transportation services for Hopkinton Area Schools. As a Diesel Mechanic at First Student, you will maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe for our customers and handling complex vehicle repairs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency services.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required with willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
• 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience or technical school education.
• Possess a mechanic’s tool set and willingness to participate in the ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
