Job Description

D&S Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Odessa, Texas. As a member of our mission-driven team, you will help individuals grow, learn, and live well, while creating meaningful and rewarding relationships every day.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
  • Help participants develop meaningful relationships and be part of the community.
  • Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
  • Take initiative to facilitate participants' enjoyment of their favorite activities.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Skills: Communication, multi-tasking, adaptability, teamwork, time management.
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
  • Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
