Job Description
Hood Container Corporation is looking for a General Manager to lead our Houston, Texas Corrugator Plant. This crucial role involves overseeing all aspects of plant operations, managing a team of 180+ employees, setting strategic goals, and collaborating with senior leadership to drive business impact and growth.
Responsibilities
- Model and promote Guiding Principles & Leadership Characteristics within the team.
- Manage all plant operations including safety, manufacturing, sales, finance, and more.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Support local leadership to enhance plant efficiency and performance.
- Prioritize and enhance safety protocols in collaboration with the safety department.
- Drive business integration initiatives and lead capital projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of management experience in the industry, preferably in agriculture or wax products.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous environments with adaptability and flexibility.
