Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Product Manager (Mid-Level) to participate in Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Fellowship Cohort 24-2 with USAA. As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a key role in developing data-driven business strategies, defining strategic objectives, collaborating with teams to develop technology solutions aligned with business goals, and ensuring system health and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification and monitoring of IT General Controls and Business Application Controls to mitigate IT risks.
  • Utilize data to provide insights to define strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to develop technology solutions aligned with strategic goals.
  • Participate in product feature development, requirements definition, and roadmap planning.
  • Work with core teams to identify dependencies impacting the roadmap.
  • Develop business cases for technology solutions and participate in solution sessions.
  • Ensure effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks associated with business activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 4 years experience in technical product development roles.
  • Experience in agile methodologies, problem-solving, and system design.
  • Ability to gather technical requirements and assist in team solution.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to understand and solve problems.
  • Working knowledge of business domain laws and regulations.
  • Current participant in Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program Cohort 24-2.

What sets you apart

  • 5+ years’ experience managing Technology/Software.
  • Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services).

What we offer

  • Competitive salary: $89,990 - $172,000 based on experience and market data.
  • Pay incentives based on performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
