Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Manager, Claims Operations to join our team at USAA. This role involves managing auto and other claims operations member service employees, ensuring they provide top-notch solutions to our members. You will drive process improvements, lead organizational changes, and manage operational risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and control risks in business activities in line with policies and procedures.
  • Review claim files and provide feedback for quality improvement.
  • Coach employees to align their work with overall claims and Enterprise strategies.
  • Identify and implement operational enhancements and process improvements.
  • Guide employees in skill development and career growth.
  • Hire, develop, and coach claims employees for optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience.
  • 6 years of customer service, operational, military, or leadership experience with at least 2 years in claims handling.
  • 2 years of direct team lead, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Experience in using data for decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and customer service skills.
  • Acquisition of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months.

What Sets You Apart

  • Current experience as a Claims Manager.
  • Master’s Degree and/or CPCU designation.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Prior experience in leading large-scale projects or initiatives.
  • Experience in contact center or compliance management.
  • US military background is a plus.
