Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team at SAGE San Francisco, now part of Ethos Veterinary Health. Our center is committed to delivering exceptional care and advancing animal health through expertise and innovation. As a key member of our team, you will participate in various stages of patient care, ensuring the well-being and recovery of animals undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical suites, equipment, and assist with patient preparation.
- Administer anesthesia, monitor vital signs, and provide postoperative care.
- Handle surgical instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and handle tissues for analysis.
- Take and process X-rays, ensure proper patient positioning.
- Communicate with pet owners regarding postoperative care and updates on procedures.
- Assist in emergency surgeries and administer medications as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Active CA-RVT license preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical and surgical experience in a Specialty Practice.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle animals with care, attention to detail, and quick problem-solving skills.
