Job Description

We are looking for a highly competent Assistant General Manager to join our team at the Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all hotel operations and ensure the satisfaction of guests, employees, and owners. Your responsibilities will include assigning duties, training staff, resolving guest complaints, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations and staff management.
  • Provide training to staff and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Act as the hotel's public relations director and promote the property to various stakeholders.
  • Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Conduct property inspections and ensure maintenance standards are met.
  • Build strong relationships with staff and departments for effective operational communication.
  • Assist in business planning and respond to emergencies as needed.

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in hotel management or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3-4 years as an Assistant General Manager.
  • Strong management skills and the ability to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent computer system skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
