Associate Buyer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Associate Buyer to join our dynamic ALDI National Buying team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with suppliers and support the Buying Director in overseeing a group of products through the entire product life cycle. Strong time management, critical thinking, and project management skills are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the product life cycle of a sub-group of products under the guidance of the Buying Director.
• Request, organize, and manage product samples from suppliers.
• Provide recommendations based on market knowledge and analyze commodities effectively.
• Manage multiple projects by setting deadlines and coordinating flow of information internally and externally.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues effectively.
• Utilize computer applications for database management and tracking spreadsheets.
• Act as a primary liaison between internal and external parties.
• Conduct training for new staff and contribute to teamwork activities.
• Identify areas for operational or procedural improvements and participate in training as needed.
• Assist in administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining documents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Business or related field required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
