Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to join Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing. This full-time position entails working day shifts (6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.) every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday in the Post-Acute Unit. The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in providing specialized nursing care to support medical treatment, applying knowledge from biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run Charge and oversee nursing regimen.
  • Provide compassionate care and support.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current RN licensure in Vermont.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Empathy, reliability, and basic computer proficiency.
