Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a driven Construction Cost Project Analyst to join the National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction documents and hold an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary objective will be to ensure that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Collaborate with the Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager to clarify project scopes and pricing.
• Provide pricing data and practices to ensure consistent structures.
• Analyze bids and produce reports for project awards.
• Track pricing data and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and review contract pricing.
• Stay updated on market pricing and forecast market fluctuations.
• Train and develop team members and maintain positive relationships.
• Ensure confidentiality of documents and data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, RS Means software, and construction cost indices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
