Job Description
Join our team as a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager at Aldi and take on key store management responsibilities. You will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational action plans, and identifying training opportunities to grow the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to improve store operating results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Understand company strategy and core values to foster teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide product feedback and recommendations for inventory management.
- Participate in store personnel interviewing and review processes.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures and customer service standards.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock levels, and product presentation.
- Achieve store payroll and total loss budget goals.
- Comply with company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Customer service-oriented with communication skills.
- Knowledge of retail management principles and budgeting.
- Experience in cash register operation and equipment handling.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet state and local requirements for beverage handling.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
