Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate at Aldi to join our team. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness in the store, while providing exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
- Follow company policies and uphold data security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to deliver prompt and friendly customer service
- Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment
- Maintain store cleanliness according to standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for beverage sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience is a plus
- Combination of education and experience equivalent
