Infection Control Nurse -- LPN/LVN

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Infection Control Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Genesis Healthcare. As an Infection Preventionist under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program at one or multiple centers. Your role will involve being a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for all staff, focusing on various areas such as Infection Prevention - Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health, and Outcome - Process Surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program at assigned centers.
• Provide guidance and education to staff on infection prevention measures.
• Identify, investigate, and report infections, and implement control measures.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN/LVN licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience, with preference for long-term care experience.
• Flexible availability to meet the needs of evening and night shifts.
