Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking Licensed Nurse Assistants (LNAs) to join Shep 3 North - Alternative Care Unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center. This unit provides care for 18-20 long-term patients awaiting placement. LNAs will assist in various aspects of patient care under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses, including vital signs, responding to call lights, documentation, and personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in direct and indirect patient care activities.
  • Take vital signs and respond to patient needs promptly.
  • Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Provide personal care services such as bathing, mouth care, toileting, and skin care.

Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) certification in the State of Vermont.
  • Long Term Care experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the care team.
