Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor I to join our team in Denver, CO at ABF Freight, one of the largest and most trusted LTL carriers in the country.

As an Operations Supervisor I, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling available resources to ensure the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts. You will maintain load plans, assign job tasks, provide training and feedback to workers, and foster a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance.
• Assign job tasks and monitor performances.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment for all personnel.
• Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Work in a team setting to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Service Center, transportation, or related experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight operations.
