Job Description

We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor I to join our team in Denver, CO. As part of one of the country's leading LTL carriers, ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the loading/unloading of freight to ensure timely, safe, and damage-free operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for efficient loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
• Maintain load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation through proper load balance.
• Assign tasks to workers according to schedules and monitor performances.
• Provide training, feedback, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Create a safe work environment and ensure compliance with hazardous materials handling protocols.
• Work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and foster a values-driven culture.
• Handle additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Supervisory experience in service center or transportation settings is advantageous.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general knowledge of freight handling techniques.
