Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor I for our Denver, CO location at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As the Operations Supervisor I, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling available resources to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for freight loading/unloading.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operations.
• Assign job tasks, monitor performance, and provide necessary training and feedback.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Support a team environment to achieve department goals.
• Additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; prior service center or transportation experience is a plus.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of freight handling techniques desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General understanding of freight, imports, exports, and freight-handling techniques.
