We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a full-time Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in our team by ensuring accurate specimen collection and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your work will directly impact patient care and the overall quality of our laboratory services.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and foster a cooperative work environment.
• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers regarding patient data and samples.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate competency in following protocols and directions.
• Assist in workload organization to maintain productivity.
• Adhere to proper specimen packaging and transport protocols.
• Perform specimen accessioning and drug screen collection.
• Ensure infection control practices and proper patient identification.
• Respond to laboratory phone calls and handle emergent conditions.
• Provide phlebotomy services in a patient-centered manner.
• Evaluate and improve professional practice.
• Accountability for the quality of patient care and service excellence.
• Collaborate with multiple departments within the hospital.
• Perform arterial puncture when required.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program or relevant experience.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting.
