Registered Nurse (RN)

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to provide quality nursing care to patients in their home environment in and around the Aurora area. As an RN, you will be responsible for delivering and documenting patient care according to the established care plan and physician's orders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient care in adherence to physician orders.
• Assess patient conditions continuously and report changes to the supervisor or physician.
• Document all activities, assessments, and care in a timely manner.
• Develop, implement, and update nursing care plans.
• Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
• Recognize and address changes in patient needs and responses.
• Comply with Aveanna policies, regulations, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques.
• Maintain competency through educational programs and skill evaluations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.

Preferences

• Six months of recent clinical care experience.
• Home health experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and travel.
• Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs.
• Strong sense of smell, touch, and visual/hearing acuity.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations.

• Ability to function in various environments with possible exposure to allergens and infectious diseases.
• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other conditions.
