Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As an RN in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Your responsibilities will include pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure patient monitoring, post-procedure critical evaluation, pain management, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Ensure a seamless perioperative experience for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Become proficient in two of the three areas of Perioperative Services: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience, critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS required, PALS within 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Competency in IV therapy, venipuncture, and ability to handle multiple job responsibilities efficiently.

Incentives
