Retail Sales Associate

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. By providing excellent customer service and collaborating effectively with the ALDI team, you will create a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Offer feedback to improve product quality and report inventory issues
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
• Follow cash-handling policies to prevent losses
• Adhere to company policies, prioritize security, and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of cash registers and equipment
• Capable of following company policies and maintaining cleanliness standards
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively
• Meet requirements for handling alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• A combination of education and experience is acceptable
