Store Management Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Management Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training in all aspects of store management to prepare you for a successful career path with us. You will be responsible for supervising daily store operations, ensuring top-notch customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational strategies. This role involves mentoring and leading a team towards operational excellence.

Position Type:

Full-Time
Estimated Hours: 45 hours per week
Starting Wage: $26.25 per hour
Earning Potential Year 1: Up to $102,000 (inclusive of salary and bonus, location-dependent)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills consistently
• Supervise team operations for exceptional customer service
• Communicate and model company values to foster teamwork
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively
• Maintain store signage and product quality
• Conduct store personnel hiring and manage workload scheduling
• Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Identify training opportunities for team development
• Perform store payroll and budget management
• Monitor market competition and provide product feedback
• Ensure a safe store environment for all stakeholders
• Oversee product merchandising and inventory management
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Knowledge of budgeting and personnel management
• Operational experience in a retail setting
• Prior management experience is advantageous

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of progressive retail experience
• Combination of education and experience considered
• Prior management experience preferred

Travel:

Full-Time Store Manager Trainees may undertake training at various locations within divisional requirements
