Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks such as merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a pleasant shopping environment for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
- Report product feedback, inventory issues, and errors to management.
- Participate in store inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to cash policies, minimize losses, and follow company procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Compliance with state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
- A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
