Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the store operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and store operations
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures
• Comply with established company policies, ensuring document security
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safe and proper operation of store equipment
• Capability to follow company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Capacity to work independently and in a team setting
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to meet local requirements for handling alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail experience is a plus
• Combination of education and experience is acceptable
