Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's smooth operation by handling merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Your focus on customer service and teamwork will contribute to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate efficiently with management.
• Conduct store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and uphold company procedures and security measures.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Proficient in customer service and cash register operation.
• Capable of using equipment such as a hand jack, floor scrubber, and baler.
• Ability to follow company policies, communicate effectively, and work both independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Fulfill state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
