Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

Join ALDI as a Store Operations Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining the store's operations efficiently. As a key member of the ALDI team, you will be responsible for merchandising, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment to deliver an exceptional shopping experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning, and maintain neatly stocked shelves and displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with store management.
• Report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational challenges to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize discrepancies.
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently and accurately operate a cash register.
• Safely operate store equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
• A combination of education and experience providing relevant knowledge.
