Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and provides exceptional service to customers. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively, maintain cleanliness, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's core competencies and professionalism in daily tasks.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational improvements.
• Participate in inventory counts according to established guidelines.
• Follow cash handling policies to ensure security and minimize losses.
• Adhere to company procedures while upholding data security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide courteous customer service and operate a cash register accurately.
• Skilled in equipment operation, including hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Experience in retail preferred; combination of education and experience accepted.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask efficiently.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is an asset.
