Job Description

We are hiring a Store Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team at Aldi. As a crucial member of our staff, you will be responsible for enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring merchandise is stocked, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the overall success of our store.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, ensuring store security and confidentiality.
  • Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to meet company standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficient cash register operation and equipment handling.
  • Interpret and apply company policies accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail work experience is a plus.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
