Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a Store Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the store's operations by merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. You will collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Execute tasks following ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide outstanding customer service and assistance to shoppers
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Report product feedback, inventory discrepancies, and operational issues to management
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies to maintain document security and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or above
- Proficient in cashiering and customer service
- Ability to operate store equipment and perform general cleaning tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Can work independently or as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and efficient in task management
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is an advantage
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
